Vulcan Renewables was one of the first commercial anaerobic digestion plants in the UK to connect directly to the national gas grid, sending biomethane to the network after commissioning in October 2013. Located near Doncaster, the plant processes agricultural waste and generates biogas, which is upgraded to biomethane and fed into the gas grid.
