Michael Jarmuz

Feedstock Development Lead
Future Biogas
Overview

Having a background in agronomy and arable crop production Michael is a familiar face to many farmers across the east of England especially in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire having been involved in energy crop production for over 10 years. Michael’s first role at Future Biogas was as Regional Feedstock Manager for Yorkshire (and a small part of North Lincs) whilst one of our sites was undergoing a large expansion project, since 2022 he has moved into our Business Development team leading on all things feedstock for new projects.

Michael’s technical background sees him lead our Sustainable Farming Practices strategy and our work on Soil Carbon alongside being a member of our R&D Steering Group and Agricultural Advisory Board. He holds a number of industry roles as part of his work including being Chairman of the Maize Growers Association and being on the RB209 Steering Group for nutrient management. Michael’s work at Future Biogas is hugely varied but you may spot him delivering site tours for local residents or corporate customers as he tries to uphold his self-proclaimed title of “the most entertaining tour guide in the business”. Michael is passionate about the benefits anaerobic digestion can bring to the agricultural communities and farm ecosystems around our sites and is always willing to discuss these benefits with anyone who will listen.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys training and working his gundogs, DIY projects (from a seemingly endless list of jobs) and holidays in the UK and abroad with his family.
