Steven’s path to renewable energy began far from the fields of biogas.
A Chartered Accountant by background, he built his career driving growth and transformation across real estate, private equity, and infrastructure before being drawn to the challenge of decarbonising the UK’s energy system
Since joining Future Biogas, Steven has steered Future Biogas to over £100m turnover, leading two acquisitions and two major debt refinancings. He also oversaw delivery of the UK’s first unsubsidised biomethane offtake project with AstraZeneca—a landmark for the sector and a sign of what’s possible when industry and innovation align.
When he’s not steering strategy or diving into financials, Steven is an avid Formula 1 fan who loves travelling to races around the world—and he never misses a chance to cheer on Scotland in the rugby. His mix of precision, pace, and passion mirrors both his sporting interests and his approach to leading at Future Biogas.
