About us
We’re a UK leader in the design, development, construction and operation of anaerobic digestion plants that produce clean, sustainable biomethane.
By converting locally grown rotational energy crops into biogases, Future Biogas supports local farmers, a circular economy and the transition to a low-carbon future, whilst giving companies a viable route to decarbonise their operations. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and rural partnerships, Future Biogas enables organisations to reduce emissions, enhance energy security, and meet net-zero goals through reliable, scalable, and environmentally responsible biogas solutions that can displace fossil fuels today without the need to change existing infrastructure.
Biogas can go further, enabling net-zero or even carbon negative solutions.
Future Biogas is one of the only companies ready to offer fully-additional, high-quality, reliable projects to fit your organisation’s needs.
We don’t try to be everything to everyone. We have a focused business and reputation for designing, building and operating biogas plants, and with a proven track record and sector-leading reputation.

Rural Communities
At Future Biogas, we recognise that our success depends not only on the renewable energy we produce but also on the strength of our relationships with the communities around our plants. We are committed to being responsible and considerate neighbours, working closely with local residents, farmers, and businesses to ensure our operations bring genuine local benefits.

This includes supporting the rural economy through long-term partnerships with farmers, creating employment opportunities, and investing in community initiatives. We take pride in maintaining open communication, listening to feedback, and addressing concerns proactively to minimise any impact on daily life.
We also operate a community fund connected with our sites to support local initiatives and not-for-profit groups operating in the areas surrounding our sites. By building trust and contributing positively to our surroundings, we aim to ensure that Future Biogas facilities are seen as valued parts of the community and a source of local pride in the transition to a greener future.

Responsible Sustainability
At Future Biogas, responsible sustainability means taking a holistic approach to renewable energy — one that balances environmental progress with agricultural resilience and community wellbeing. Our work goes beyond producing low-carbon biomethane; it’s about closing the carbon loop, rebuilding soil health, and ensuring that every step of our process contributes positively to the local environment and economy.

Through collaboration with farmers, transparent certification, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we aim to set new standards for how clean energy can support both people and the planet. Responsible sustainability is not just about achieving Net Zero — it’s about doing so in a way that is ethical, regenerative, and rooted in long-term stewardship of the land and its communities.

Our People
Our greatest strength lies in our people — the talented, passionate teams whose skill and commitment make everything we do possible. They are the driving force behind our innovation, our community relationships, and the excellence that defines Future Biogas. Our people are the reason no other company can do what we do. We know that when people feel valued and supported, they achieve extraordinary things.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) policy ensures everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential, free from discrimination. We celebrate individual differences and foster a workplace where everyone can be themselves and see the worth of their contribution. By nurturing this inclusive culture of respect and belonging, we create a stronger company — and a better future for the people and communities we serve.

Accreditation & Verification
At Future Biogas, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental performance. Independent accreditation and verification ensure that our systems, processes and outcomes are not just effective — but trusted. They keep us accountable for our claims. In 2022, we achieved ISO 9001 certification for our integrated Quality Management System and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, recognising our commitment to continual improvement and operational excellence.

We are proud that, in September 2023, we were reaccredited with zero minor or major non-conformances against the ISO 9001 standard — a testament to the rigour, care and consistency embedded in every part of our work.
These certifications form part of a wider framework of assurance across all we do, providing transparency, accountability and confidence for our partners, customers and the communities we serve.
