Future Biogas has been shortlisted in the Sustainability category of the REA British Renewable Energy Awards 2024.
Since 2006 the awards have looked to recognise the work of those driving change. The Sustainability award specifically is aimed at organisations delivering sustainable solutions – from organics recycling to projects achieving zero waste, to companies rethinking waste or those offering an innovative, circular economy product or service.
Future Biogas has been nominated for its work with AstraZeneca, constructing a new biogas plant as part of the UK’s first unsubsidised biomethane project (Project Carbon Harvest) to provide a renewable source of heat and power for the company’s UK sites in Macclesfield, Cambridge, Speke, and Luton.
